Roller Shutters

The ARCO Steel Roller Shutter is used mainly in loading docks, carpark, factories, storage warehouses schools, pavilions to name a few. The introduction of of Slotting and small perforations help with both vision and ventilation requirements.

The ARCO Steel Roller Shutter are custom built to size and includes consideration for:
• Operational requirements
• Opening dimensions
• Structural and architectural design.

Thus, it is important to accurately measure the opening dimensions and adequately specify any requirements.

ARCO Steel Roller Shutter can be manufactured both as a 75mm high and a 100mm high roll formed steel slat. It also comes in various thicknesses which revolves around overall size and strength requirements. Slats are interlocked together and are retained by polycarbonate clips on every second slat.

Options for ventilation or vision include:

• Standard slots 100mm long x 25mmhigh at 200 centres giving 24% on 75mm and 21% on 100mm profile.

• Perforated slats consisting of 2.41mm diameter holes staggered at 3.66 centres. This gives 27% %airflow per slat (75mm profile) and 33% (100mm profile).

• The Bottom Rail (Standard) is Extruded Aluminium, but also comes as 80mm x 45mm box as an optional extra.

Side guides come in 3 sizes:
• 75mm x 38mm
• 100mm x 38mm
• 103mm x 48mm for wind locked guides.

Standard finish is Galvanised steel but can be powder coated as an optional extra.

Brackets are constructed and fabricated from laser cut mild steel and supplied zinc prime coated.

Our Drum is produced using a 6- or 8-inch seamless steel tube and prime painted after assembly. The use of engineered helical coil springs designed to counterbalance the curtain weight when tensioned.

For high use doors the use of dead lift motors (springless) to increase the longevity of the shutter. However, recommend the use of our counter weight products as a most suitable alternative.
